  34.  Thats pretty much what I told him.  I on the other hand have spent enough on
  35. ROM upgrades for this controller I could have purchased a new controller and a
  36.  new CD-Rom drive.  I'm not spending $79 more on a Guru ROM upgrade.  That is
  37. crazy!  A new DKB SCSI controller is only $139.  GVP Series II controllers are
  38. Shit!  They are the flakiest, bug infested piece of crap on the market.  It's
  39. no wonder GVP went under.  It looks kinda bad on their part, 2 months after
  40. they fold, their programmer releases Guru that is suppose to finally fix all
  41. the bugs.  I think GVP had the solution all along and only updated the
  42. firmware enough to get by.  That way they could stick you with another ROM
  43. upgrade later down the road.  God knows I bought my share, 3 Rom kits at $40
  44. each!
